Serveral Tenents at Bren Brook Apartments were not paying their gas heat bill for over a year; an overall total of thousands of dollars. Management sent notices to tenents that they will take them to court if the gas bills were not paid. These tenents want their gas bills to be in their names so they can be billed directly and not by a third party. Management did not allow this so these tenents continued to not pay their bills and opted to be taken to court. In the end the court case management brought about was thrown out in court. Not on of those tenents who held their ground had to pay on dime based on the Judge's decision. Those who did pay were left alone by management but many will seek recourse to get a full refund on the bills they did pay. If you are looking to move here be sure to know all the sly words when it comes to the gas heat bill...There is no option but to pay all at once or be threatened with eviction/court action.

Ok...I'm confused....why sign a lease contract THEN decide that you want you gas billed directly from the company and not third party. I can understand why someone would want that, but don't be stupid. Read your lease. If its not in there, then you have all rights NOT to pay....It shouldn't have even gone to court...weird... But glad you won

Wow this is great. I also recieved a notice that I was going to be evicted if I did not pay the fees which I paid almost $900.00. I am happy to see that the tenants who stood up to management won their case. I will now attempt to see if I can get a refund as well. These apartments have really deteriorated and the swimming pool area is atrocious. Just horrible. Anyways kudos to the tenants who won.
