It's not the greatest, but certainly NOT the worse.

Okay, first of all, I'm absolutely terrified of mice! I live on the top floor and have been here for 6 months now. I haven't seen one yet, but that doesn't mean I'm not on the lookout. I know you can't totally prevent mice from coming in a million dollar house, let alone an apartment. So to expect a place to be 100% rodent free, I think is, impossibly insane (but if you find one please let me know).

There's people from different cultures that live in my building, so the hallway does smell at times, especially in the summer when it's hot outside. The hallways aren't all that clean either and I wish everyone else cared enough to pick up their own garbage. I've seen kids walking around and throwing their McDonalds bag on the ground, as if there aren't enough dumpsters all over the place. I'm not going to put down the Section 8 people, because I don't think that is fair, they need a place to stay too. My problem is the ghetto fabulous loiterers!! It's so embarrassing having company when people are hanging out in the middle of the street with their hands in their pants...oh that is so trifling!

The leasing people are nice and I saw my apartment before I moved in, so there weren't any surprises for me. I have to call the business office 4 or 5 times just to get through sometimes, so I started sending my maintenance stuff online and I don't have to worry about dealing with anyone.

Parents, you have kids for a reason, so watch them and act like you care, teach them what it is to be a respectable human being. Education is the power to get our future leaders above and beyond what we could ever achieve. Ebonics has no place in the business world and neither does disrespecting other people. It's not up to management to do it, it's our responsibility as a community to work together. Wake up and make your home a place where all are welcome and feel comfortable to come to.

Comment about Gq3000 first of all you going to the office on a saturday for a business matter and the business office is closed on the weekends. That's the reason why you probably didn't get an answer. Everyone has everything negative to say about Carriage Hill Village i have lived in the area for 37 years and if everyone would help keep the community clean and start paying attention to there children and not letting there children run wild CHV would be a better place to live. As for the section 8 concern who are you to speak about section 8. Everyone that is on Section 8 arent stay home moms or dads you can have a job and receive Section 8 not everyone that has section 8 are(ghetto Fabulous) There are working moms and dads who live at CHV as well who are to say that they arent Ghetto Fabulous. As far as the mice they are only field mice if everyone would clean up after themselves and keep the apartments clean and tidy CHV wouldn't have so many mice. Helping to keep your neighborhood clean and keeping your children in tact and raising them to be respectful and to take care of where they live can avoid any future problems in your community. There is Section 8 receipients everywhere, Crime is everywhere. Mice are everywhere even in new communities due to construction everywhere look around you there are woods and usually where there are woods there sometimes will be mice. Go live in Baltimore City there are RATS in the city and they are as big as Cats. Stop trying to attack the community try to resolve the issue and look at the full picture. It takes a village to raise children and a village to clean up your community as well. It was something that attracted you to CHV to want to live here.

For the Anonymous person above, which i think maybe a apartment manager .First of all if you read the post right I said I sat outside I didnt say I went there on a Saterday. Second statistics show that majorty of the high crime areas are majorty section 8. For example do the research carriage hill is over 75% section 8. And I dont know how you can talk about other places when you lived there for 37 years, little do you know there are plenty of places out there where you live close to the fields and woods and dont have mice or bug problems ---- this is the first place I lived and seen it this bad. Somthing must be broke if majority of the people are saying the same thing and rating is at 19% The communty is part of the problem Sawyer is the majorty of the problem people here pay for a service and a safe place to live, which sawyer does nothing to improve I would maybe if sawyer would fix things and put up some cameras and stop letting just anybody in then maybe the community would chang the community is only a reflection of what the environment surronding looks like. now think about that. Last but least if you really lived here for 37 years wouldnt your rent be super high?

Gq300, I would love to buy you a cup of coffee or a cocktail because you hit the nail right on the head!!! If there were more PARENTS and ADULTS who cared as much as others about their community, children and safety Carriage Hill Village may be the nice clean place to live that it used to be. As for Section 8,not everybody gets a break in life but there are ways not to be included in a statistic if you just try a little harder. Last but not least this goes to Anonymous, blowing smoke is not going to make this place any better, bottom line you need to have your corporate office stop accepting anyone who comes off the street Section 8 definitely not Section 8 vouchers.
