Nothing Too Crazy

I think one of the first things people forget, is that they are living in an apartment as opposed to a house. People live above you so you are going to hear them walking, if you cant stand that demand a top floor apartment. Expect that when you flush the toilet the water temperature might change slightly. Most of the things I have gone through wile living here for the past 3.5 years are typical apartment issues. I like the manager of the apartment (Melissa). It seems like she cares because she as taken the time to remember my name. A few comments from earlier are correct in that they rarely answer the phone when you call the office during the day, BUT if you leave a message 8.5 out of 10 times they call you back. The water in the shower does change from hot to cold, but it has something to do with the running of the toilet. When you can get the toilet to stop running the water temperature change is not so drastic or common. (i might be way off base as im not a plumber, but hey).

Some things have gone on in the apartment that is beyond the complex's control. For example is is a very well lit area and the trees are always trimmed (def. not an area that welcomes crime) but during my time here I have had my car broken into and then stolen (on a total different occasion). Other residents in my building have agreed that these things have happened to them, bricks through car windows, slashing of tires and break-ings of course. Again as in any community that takes resident action. I dont know if anyone has notified rental office for their help but unfortunately I havent.

Parking is cool, but i know that is because of the building i live in. Because i dont live in a building where spaces are limited its never a problem for me.

Finally I broke my ankle on ice in the parking lot. Now I think they do a pretty good job of snow/ice cleanup despite this, but if you are an older person (which i am not) you might require more removal than they do.

Rent has gone up a good number of times and im not sure if its because of times ive been late or policy but someone else mentioned it so i wanted to say YES rent did go up about 70 bucks in 3 years.
