This place is horrible. We lived in Butler Ridge Apartments for about 3 years and it was so bad. Our air was broken every summer, and our heat broken every winter. The place was infested with roaches and management didn't try to do anything about it. The people downstairs actually got out of their lease because they had mold growing in their apartment. Please for the love of God. Do not rent an apartment here.

This is real long, but please read it. Maybe your a lawyer, or know someone who knows someone who could tell me how to handle this. I dont live at Butler Ridge, but the same management company/Reality Group- WP&M, formally none as Metro Property management manages the apts where I live: The Gardens at Owings Mills. I had problems since day "1" and from there on. Apt not cleaned out. Stove & heat didnt work, dishwasher wasnt connected. I had to buy my own blinds and change my own filters on a furnace that broke down every season. Kitchen cabients had to be replaced due to water damage from previuos tenant. They wanted to come in & tape up the cabients. It took them mroe than 2wks to get back to me saying the oweners are on vacation. Recently leak from upstairs, mold on ceiling, mice, closet doors breaks alot. Mgmnt office personal very rude, nasty, and unprofessional. They never returned calls for repairs & when you finally did speak to them they made you feel like you were annoying them by calling for repairs. Slow maintenance team, repairs not completed in a timely manner- 1 month to finish leak from upstairs. Workers took more than an hr. going to Home Depot up the rd. Water leaks on neighbor down stairs after taking a bath. The floor SQUEAKSSSSSS. My kitchen window broke & they didnt want to pay the cost to fix it, so I have to use a can to keep it open. Air comes through the windows, especially bedroom window. Didnt want to repair. Put plastic in windows. I had to hold rent from them until the repairs were done. Ackn not legal way but sufficient. Get this, mgmt came to apt unannounced, wasnt home. My bottom lock i changed over a yr ago/locked out. They werent aware (lock), so recvd call frrm manager demanding that someone would be @ my unit on Mon.; tub leaks downstairs. Advd her no one w/b home & didnt want maintenance there if no one home. She mentioned lock changed & how she'll spk w/ owners. 1wk later recvd letter from management wanting my husband, myself, and my 5month old baby to vacate the apt in 60days. I guess she didnt like it when I snapped back at her. She then had the nerve to give us a bad review when we applied for another apt saying the neigh. complained about water and problems w/ mgmnt. Our app. was turned down. Oh yeah, last Dec, they owed us 200 which was credited to our next months rent for overpymnt. She Vickie Adams didnt want to return my call, but spk w/ my husband who told her pluming had nothing to do w/ us & reason lock change. Thats o.k. b/c the my neighbor down stairs who probably got in their ass about this leak that has been constant since we 1st moved in. He probably threatend to get a lawyer involved, so they want to make demands to rip my/apt floor/ceiling/walls into bits. Who has time for this. I'm glad to be moving. In all WP&M/Metro Property gets a 0 rating. Dont move anywhere where they manages. 5/24/06- Letter on bulletin board in bldg from a tenant to the tenents asking tenants if they are having mice problems. Of course I checked my apt #. Beware of Vickie Adams, she's malicious and GOD dont like ugly. How she's gonna be so spitful when she knows I held rent b/c they acted like they didnt want to make repairs. She even told he how to legally withhold rent from them. Who has the time.
