The Preserve at Owings Crossing formerly Owings Manor
< | >
I've lived at Owings Manor for the last 2 years. I have not seen any mice or roaches. I have new roomates spiders and centipedes and some other creature that roams in packs against my 1st floor window. I have had issues with the ceiling leaking in my bathroom where maintenance came out at 4:00 am to fix....well that was with the old management company. I've had mold growing in my bathroom. Maintenance responds in a timely matter. I feel that some people need to understand priority levels when it comes to maintenance. My car was hit in the parking lot by another resident. Never broken into. There's ample parking if you don't mind walking up the block and around the corner to park your car. You can forget about parking in front of the house. One thing bothers me about parking WHY ARE THEIR HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES AVAILABLE IN FRONT OF BUILDINGS WITH STAIRS' Drives me crazy no one parks there and when you do park there (supercop-security guard) Puts a note on your car about what he is going to do next time he see's you parked there. I must have 5 or 6 of those. My main issue for moving is the increases on the rent. I moved here because it was affordable. I pay 720 for a one bedroom gas included. However, now you have to pay water, trash and sewer fees. Did I mention the rent will increase on top of that' At this time I am just going to buckle down and get a house. I figured if I'm paying those fees I might as well own the property. Other than that I have not had any issues with the mgnt team. They are curteous even when you are upset. It's in a good location, close to the highway, train & bus. Shopping & schools. The grounds are maintained nicely. There's no riff raff outside or inside the buildings. I can do without the kids skateboarding out front because it sounds like a rollercoaster going past my windows (1st floor) PHOEBE is a sweetheart and always welcomes with a big smile(MGNT TEAM). I choose to write the good and bad so that people can have a generalization of what they are getting into. As you read some of these other stories from different rental companies the issues they deal with sound like horrible living conditions. The issues here were minor/petty. Overall, its a good place to live.
