This Move will be the Biggest Mistake of Your Decisions

My experience while living at Riverdale Village West Apts is that they have a rodent infestation problem. I killed a total of 25 mice. The process of killing these 25 mice included 3 cats (to help catch them), poison, and sticky traps. We called maintenance a number of time regarding this, they came and put some kind of putting in holes they thought they were coming in. Also, before I moved in there is a checklist to make sure everything is OK. There were certain things that were never addressed. I remember once I had hot water running down my wall behind my kitchen cabinet. They came and removed the cabinet and had to repair the pipe and then the cabinet sat on the floor for 3 weeks thereafter. Then 1 week shortly after I moved in I had my shower above the kitchen coming through the light fixture, which created flooding. The came in and reputtied the ceiling. Cabinets in the kitchen are cheap materials. You sign an addendum to not put many dishes in the cabinet because it won't uphold. Well I still couldn't put the norm in their the shelves were falling apart. Roaches are terrible, we would spray, bomb the apartment, have maintence send in the joke-exterminators. The walls are so thin that when the neighbors that run up and down their stairs, you would jump up from where you are sitting or lying in your bedroom because you think someone is in your apartment. There is a report on file at the Riverdale Park County Inspectors office for the problems they did not pass because an inspection had to be conducted because of numerous complaints. This place should be shut down and condemned. It is ran by RTW and RTW has many problem properties in Landover and Oxon Hill (Colonial Village, Village in the Woods and a couple other run down drug infested apartments). Oh needless to say there parking is terrible. They have everybody and their mother parking their. They don't have to live in the neighborhood. I had a Volvo when I moved in their. My fender on my volvo was damaged. Because security saw this they kept putting tow stickers on my car. Three times back to back I had to get it from the tow people. I talked with the management, they blamed security, security blamed management, the police blamed security. We couldn't find out who was behind it. The fourth time, I could not affort to get my car out of tow. I lost my car. I was infuriated and felt violated. We talked with the Commissioner at the Hyattsville location Court house, they said the have a stack about 7" high on tow scams in the area. I would have to file a Complaint against the two company. I was too frustrated. So now I am currently without a car. I do not recommend this apartment complex or anyother complex of RTW to anyone! If you do rent from them, remember what I typed here and you didn't heed to it. Good luck.
