We have experienced the good and the bad at this community. We too, like many others, have had problems with noise at the community mainly because of poor construction. The walls (and floors especially) are paper thin. When we signed our lease the weight limit on pets was 25 pounds. A few months later they moved a couple with 2 80 pound dogs (no exaggeration) into the apartment above us. Our chandelier would actaully jingle from the commotion caused by the dogs. The management oferred to have us move to the top floor for the same rent but then charged us for the 3 day overlap of being in both apartments.
Management and employee have been good in general but we have noticed that the really good managers and employees don't stay long. Avalon seems to be a stepping stone for the good ones.
Maintenance has actaully been very good. They've helped us with more than just the regular stuff (carrying our X-mas tree to the top floor for us when they saw my fiance was having trouble with her end, installing our ceiling fan, bringing ladders into the apartment for us to borrow for painting and providing paint at no charge to paint back to the original color).
The ammenities were priceless for us. We used the tennis court and pool a ton and both were in good shape.
Apartments are very expensive which is why we are moving out. We can buy a house for just a little more than rent.
Overall a good community to live in if you can afford it but the construction is horrible.
