can't say I understand the poster who complained about a work request for something to be fixed not getting taken care of right away. everytime i've called the office, work has been done literally SAME day or the very next afternoon...not too bad if you ask me.
i agree with the construction complaints. walls are thin, and construction is pretty poor. but, that's what you get when you hire a bunch of illegal immigrants instead of real labor from a certified construction company. that's the problem with avalon bein a public corporation -- they are cheap as heck.
As far as noise' I've *barely* heard my neighbors ever. But try and remember -- these are apartments. If you have a loud person living next to you, you're gonna hear them. Deal with it - otherwise, but a home.
as far as the office staff' I dont think "inefficient" is the way i'd describe them. of the four apartment complexes ive lived in, the one thing i love about these guys *IS* the office staff. theyre professional, courteous, quick to respond and all seem to work pretty darn hard. everytime i go in, they're running around like nuts doing work -- so i don't think calling them lazy or inefficient is really the right thing to do.
parking is a problem in certain areas, but other areas are great. it all depends on where you live. phase 2, from what i understand, has by far the worst parking problems near the entrance because of the few spaces.
