Beware, signing your lease with Avalon at Traville. They contract towing company and they call towing company to tow your car in the middle of the night. They give you no explanation, they really dont care about the tenants, they are there to make money off of you. It is a pretty sweat deal for them, they make the towing company to tow your car, and share the money. And when you confront with them they lie straight to your face. There are other nice apartment complexes in this area. You are better off with any one of them.

Were you parked illegally? I find it hard to believe your car could be towed illegally and you have no recourse. It's so hard to discern the legitimate complaints against landlords and the tenants who are responsible for the problems. I live in an apartment complex and I have neighbors who will park illegally, play loud music and violate rules, so I know it's not always the landlord's fault.

We did not park illegally at all, the reason was that we forgot the put our parking permit on. Our argument was they knew our car, because we lived there almost 4 years and car is always parked in the same area. We can not think any reason other than monetary gain to tow our car, simply they could have posted a warning sign on our car.

... isn't that the entire reason behind having a parking permit? How can you blame the landlord, when the specifically give you an permit to prevent your vehicle from being towed?

I've got to agree with the others here-- it sounds like Avalon is simply enforcing the rules--to keep the parking choices in check. You FORGOT to put up the parking permit-- that was your fault. How can you expect them to remember your car??
