My husband and I have been living in Congressional Towers since 2004. We live in one of the newer apartments. We have a one bedroom and live on the first floor (one floor above the terrrace level). The apartment is cost effective in terms of rent (although it is going up), all utilities are included, and it is close to metro. The new gym is great!

Here are the cons--our building is VERY noisy with lots of children running up and down the halls at ALL hours. We have tried to deal with this issue but with little success. The leasing office is somewhat helpful, depending on the day and who you talk to.

We have also experienced roaches and just recently a mouse! Our apartment is very clean (we even use a cleaning service from time to time) but according to Congressional Towers maintenance, the bugs come through the walls or, in the case of the mouse, they can come up through the dishwasher piping. We would recommend living on at least the second floor. Our floor also has an awful odor--usually from someone cooking. The other issue we have experienced is our closets. All of the shelving in our bedroom closet literally came crashing down one morning--they were not built to hold much. We would recommend that you have someone come from maintenance and install reinforcements to ensure it holds up.
