Yo!

Oh Dear God A (somewhat) contented resident

I'm not with the mangement (an easy claim to make anonymously), I don't really want to give my apartment number but I live over on the backside facing ROllins Ave on the first floor.

I like the apartments I really do, I've live in group houses and some fairly shoddy apartment complexes so maybe my expectations aren't as high as some of the reviewers here.

My apartment is nice, I've never had many problems with it, the few times something has needed fixing the maintenence staff have come within a few hours and always have taken care of it.

The staff are fairly ditsy but apartfrom ahving to pick up packages from them my contact with them is minimal.

Perhaps the main reason I like the apartment is that I am a shift worker. I like the movie theater but then again I can use it during the day because lets be honest its ahrd to rent at night. I like the gym because it's 24 hours, I like the pool becuase I can use it during the day even if half of the lifeguards are neglient I don't worry because it's hard for a six foot adult to drown in five feet of water.

Yes I know I know easy for me to say but it's my review and I'm stating why I like the apartment. Don't use the pub too much but the concept is nice, not a great social scene and too many children in there, which is fine because five bars within 3 min. walk.

Cyber cafe is kinda of joke but to be honest if you live here you own a computer probably a laptop so why even use the cyber cafe. The security guard, well, whatever no retired guard is going to really scare off burglars no matter where he sits and there is a roving guard in a cruiser so I'm not worried about the garage.

What does annoy me is the parking, especially the situation with the guests. It is ridiculous to need to get a guest pass sometime before five, it is ridiculous that the bottom floor is set aside for retail. It is not ridiculous to have unassigned parking, people it's covered and every space is within 150 feet of a stairwell/elevator (if you live in the main buildings). I lived in DC the last five years and street parking is ridiculous and the parking police are very, very good at what the do.

That may be it, I live in the main building I have a trash chute, and yes its annoying to have to walk over there and yes its annoying to have to go to the second floor because the compacter is on the ground floor but you know what, I'm a single guy on shift work I don't create that much trash and when my car is usually on the second floor and I have to pass the trash chute anyway, well, it's just not that inconvenient (unless I was completely lazy).

The only other bad thing about the apartment is due to construction if you live on the ground floor or the anywhere but the top floor for that matter and the neighbors above are noisy that can get very old, very fast espeically if they have large pets that like to roam around to the wee hours of the morning.

In conclusion, if you don't like it move, if you don't like my review don't move in that's fine. If you're living by yourself, you're fairly low maintenence but you like your creature comforts and want a reasonable place to RENT then go for it, it's a grand place to live.
