There s an old saying about putting lipstick on a pig. Prices are decent relative to the surrounding area, but you'll quickly realize why. New carpet, Verizon Fios, and a fresh coat of paint can't mask the fact the walls are extremely thin and the floors creak non-stop. You'll be fooled if you happen to view an apartment when there's no one home in the apartment above you. You can feel the vibrations on the floor from the people walking next door, in addition to hearing the floor board creaking above and next door as well.
I've spent enough years in "apartment living" to understand there is a certain level of noise you have to tolerate, but unfortunately the age/condition of this complex forces you to tolerate quite a bit more. Based upon the people I encountered while living here, the chances are slim that you will be surrounded by considerate/respectful neighbors, so don't expect them to care how their noise level affects anyone else.
While the staff in the Leasing Office can be helpful and pleasant, a talk with the offsite "Management Office" will leave a entirely different taste in your mouth. Rude, condescending, and oblivious, are adequate ways to describe them. If they'd spend some time actually at the apartment complex, they would definitely be a little more empathetic.
If you don t sleep, and don t mind noise, this place is a decent find.
