I lived in Village Square West for 1 year.
The location is great but that is about it.

The management staff needs to learn the meaning of customer service. Since I have been living there I have seen 2 different managment staffs come through. Only 1 person has stayed in those two staffs. The turn around of this management is ridicules.

It is any wonder why only 1 person can answer all your questions. You call the office and your told to call back when that person is available.

My roomate and I asked before the first management staff for things to be fixed. Of course when the new management staff came in they knew nothing about it. This is what they claimed. Needless to say till this day those things are not fixed.

An internal error was made with the management staff. We recieved a notice saying to pay a 100 and some less towards rent. So my roommate and I wrote our checks a 100 some less. Since that is what the letter told us.

Sent out check and the letter back. Here we found out management had made a mistake. They then asked us to pay it back.
Hmmmmm. Was that not the apts. mistake not mine. Of course I complained to the first management staff and they say we will take care of it. I should have known better.

Second management comes in and say we still owe that money. The catch is.. the lady who has been there from the start is the one who made the error and new I complained about it. This same lady quoted "we were going to sue you" but we did not. So now I am going to pay the 100 some dollars just to get out.
My opinion I had no right in paying that money. Managment made and error should have sukced it up.

When the snow stormed came you were on your own. The plowing sucked. I could not get on the road after I dug myself out.

The noise depends on your neighbors. My case I had an elephant living above me and a cat lady/ chain smoker. Two smells would come into my apt. litter box and smoke. I also had smokers smoke near the door stoop. Management put a sign saying no smokers were allowed to smoke on the stoop but it cont. Smells in the hall ways too.

The laundary room has a curfue too. Who ever heard of this' I never heard of this until I moved there. 3 washers and 3 dryers not enough at all.

Speed bump heaven which sucks for your car. I too had 8 bumps to get to my apt.

Ever heard of having pool but it is never open. Well this is what you will get at Village Square. Life guards who yell at the kids but not for their safety but just to yell. I am talking about the summer of 2002 those lifeguards need to learn wrd. "customer service".

BTW this apt. complex they are always working on the water pipes. So expect a couple notices on the wall claiming certian dates the water will be out.

Too many stray cats walking around the neighborhood.

The AC is an issue. Be prepared to buy or bring your fan. The AC is turned on a certain date. The heat is o.k.

Basically, I would cont. to my apt. search if I were you. Too many other apts. to pass by. Go check it out for your own sake but beware.
