When we moved in, the woman in the office whom I will call "X" said we had to pay rent from when the apartment was available...if we?d known that we would have ended our other lease earlier. All she had said on the phone was that the apartment was available June 10th. She said that was her "gentle way" of letting us know we would have to pay from June 10th even though we did not move in until weeks later. Thanks for lying!
On this same visit, the two front office women complained bitterly about a resident. I could not *believe* they were talking this way in front of me, a customer...I should never have moved in to this place.

My husband tried to pick up a package from the office at 5pm when the office closes at 6pm. The woman in the office hid in the back room and would not come out to let him in to get the package. (The door was locked because she was leaving early.) My husband stood at the door with another resident, knocking on the door and saying "we know you are in there, we just want our packages." The office woman hid until my husband and the other resident left.

Ants invaded the laundry room. They were all over. Little, red ants. I called to have them take care of it. Nothing happened so I bought ant traps myself and placed them around the laundry room.

My husband called about having the bathroom fixed. Tiles came loose from the floor and the toilet ran, which is a waste of water. One of the maintenane people glued the tiles in and they fell out again within a week. I finally gave up. We decided to move. Maybe they wanted to get rid of us so they could get more rent.

The office woman said she could not give us a receipt to show she had received our keys because of the fair housing act. Tell me what the fair housing act has to do with keys'' She lied right to our faces. Believe me, we took pictures of every square inch of that place when we moved out. If you end up living here, I recommend taking photos with a newspaper in it to prove the date and the cleanliness of your apartment.
The train noise did not bother me although it IS loud.
The parking is a pain. My elderly parents had to park in visitor parking about a half block away.
The walk to metro is long. As a woman, I did not feel safe walking back from the metro (15-20 min walk) through the industrial neighborhood at night.
From our window, we could view a dilapidated wooden fence and a lot of trash. Real beautiful.
Oh, the water is often out. Since I wasn't home during the day, this did not bother me, but you might want to know about that.
