This is the very first time I've been writing an interview for any apartment I lived in but I really have to say some positive words about Village Square West. My family (husband, myself and two kids) moved here 1,5 years ago and we really like it here. We rent a 2-bedroom apartment. The area is nice and quiet, the schools are awesome and the management office has been always fantastic. They come to fix any problem in the apartment very quickly and the stuff is just so nice (they do have a very, forgive me to say, stupid boy working in the office but he is still tolerable). I have met several workmen and all of them were very nice and friendly. There are some laws I find unjustified (like why can't 5-person family live in 2-bedroom apartment if they want to') but those are the laws and people who work there do not make or change them, it's not their fault, right' Other than these, the overall situation is good. Oh, one more thing: one morning we found our brand new sedan car brutalized (lined all the way on its side)with a nail or some sharp object but I again don't think it's the management's fault and it can happen anywhere to a car parked on a street. The apartment itself is very nice, full with light and not as screechy as other apartments nearby (like Randolph Square apartments are). I just wished they had a tennis court too in addition to a nice swimming pool that they are renovating right now (hope it will open in the end of May to make all the kids living at Village Square happy!).
As for the schools, to my opinion Luxmanor ES, Tilden MS and Walter Johnson HS are the best possible schools in the area.
