I've lived here since October 2004. The place is new, very clean, and well managed.

Noise is a huge problem though. Tenants are loud and sound echoes all over. Also, the freight trains, DC Metro/Subway trains, and MARC train that run their train tracks next to the property leave much to be desired.

The DC Metro and MARC are not that bad; but the freight trains running during the AM hours is a real pain to deal with. They wake us up in the middle of the night and the building shakes quite badly. Had I known this, I would have never moved here.

Also, what if there is ever a derailment' The trains are so close that they're bound to strike the building and cause a great deal of deaths.

Why would anyone build an apartment complex next to train tracks' Having realized all this, I am not plannin to renew my lease. I am really looking for top quality of life for the money I am paying.

Ever hear of earplugs? Plus, you couldn't see how close the tracks were upon renting in case of supposed derailment? Some advice upon making future home decisions: Any urban type of area is bound to have NOISE and RISK! Move to the country and commute an hour if you're that neurotic.

This place is a ghetto! Why would anyone build right next to MAJOR rail road tracks? I have class, and this is not for me!
