Let's see, where do I start' Well, if you like dog crap, you'll love this place, because you can't walk 2 feet without stepping in a giant pile of it! The tenants (with the exception of a couple of them) just refuse to clean up after their dogs, or pay any attention to breed restrictions. There are pit bulls running loose on the property sometimes and the regional manager did absolutely nothing about it.
Next, the apts. are about the size of a large box, so I hope you don't like too much space. And, if high electric bills are your thing, you will also love it. They have outdated, inefficient heating and air conditioning systems that do little else but run up the bill - to the tune of over $225 a month (and I lived by myself!!!). Also, there is only one maintenance person for the entire complex, and his main priority is partying, not maintenance (unless it's HIS apt.), so you can figure out that one.
For the square footage, you can get a much bigger apartment for the money - this place is not cheap. Also, they do not perform background checks so there are a lot of "strange" and unsavory people living there.
The "property manager" does nothing else but collect rent checks and run to the bank with them. That's pretty much it. Forget trying to get her to answer the phone or return your calls. Bottom line - this place is a dump; avoid it at all costs.

$225 seems a little ridiculous...I was thinking of moving there when my lease is up, but I wouldnt be able to afford that.

This is a hilarious review...probably the best I have read. Thanks for the info. I am looking in the Rosedale area but will be staying away from here...I do not enjoy dog crap. You gave pretty good ratings though for such a crummy sounding place.

What? I have lived at Cherry Tree for 4 1/2 yrs. First, dogs are not allowed; so if there are any, they're strays. The maintenance people (more than 1!) have always taken care of anything in the apartment I may have needed and usually by the next day! Electric -- I've lived in a 3rd floor 1 bedroom and presently in a 2 bedroom/2 bath on the 1st floor (with plenty of room; over 1,000 sq ft) -- my highest electric bill was 70 bucks and that was during a very hot time last year; otherwise it's 40 bucks a month. Gas bill? Highest was 90 bucks. I've always had good communication with the property office managers, but I see why neither of them will answer or return your calls! Sounds like someone who's been asked to move out and p-o'd becuz they were. Overall, Cherry Tree Village is a lot nice and safer over some of the other apartment developments in the area.

Your review kills me...ive been a resident at cherry tree for over 10 years and have hads the exact opposite experience from what you have had living here...sounds like your p. offed because they kicked you out or something like that. The maintenance man is one of the BEST maintenance men i have ever met. Every work order ive ever put in was completed with in a day, and on top of that he is one of the nicest men I have ever met and he stays on top of everything!! that so called pit bull your talking about is not a pit bull...i know exactly who you are talking about because i was friends with them and that person actually took breed certification to the office proving it was not a pit bull because of people like you. as far as the office goes, they have a new property manager and she is great...she is very friendly and will do whatever it takes to help you. Oh and everytime ive called the office, she has answered!! As far as your electric bill...thats your own fault, turn your lights off and maybe it will be less, it has nothing to do with the apartment, its the person!! For the money that it cost, Cherry Tree is a very nice place to live. Its quiet and everyone is friendly, management and maintenance are very courteoud and friendly and seem to be very well on top of everything.
