Hello everyone; for those of you that are interested in a great place to live. Let me first start by saying I am a former employee of UDR, INC which is the parent name of Brittingham Square Apartments. I want to set a clear record on the readings thus far. Keeping that in mind, I must make some admissions. During my employment with UDR, and UDR being as large as they are, we were aware of these sites as well as other and it's availability to the consumer. We also realized that we needed to manage this site with favorable reviews to maximize growth. Working under the direction of others, we were instructed to place favorable remarks to maximize occupancy.
In this, I must admit, the adverse comments are usually from actual residents that live within the apartment community and it is a take on their experience as it relates to their living their.
The positive review more than likely were aided by a representative of UDR. I will add that their may be one or two current or former residents that actually had written a review. Of course, these resident reviews are friends and or family members of the staff who were encouraged to write/place a review with our oversight.
So in this, I say that the current ratings should review with as it relates to this information. It is clear to me that the practice still exists today as much if not more as it was during my employment with UDR, INC.
I am sure that once this review is noted, every effort will taken to remove it however, as long I've not listed names and this is not viewed as obscene, it may survive the wave. (see how names were removed in prior comments within this community. UDR had it removed.)
In closing I will say that when a person has a good experience they typically will share it with one or two people however when a person experiences are not as pleasant, they will share it with anyone how is willing to listen.

I think that ALL apartments on here monitor their ratings. That's the nature of business. As far as breaking the lease....it is completely untrue about it costing a minimal of three months payments to buy out your lease. It only cost me the buyout fee and the final months rent which was equal to two months of rent not the "minimal of three months of rental payments" that was stated above. So for those that are reading this, I have a suggestion, read these reviews carefully and then go see any apartment that you are thinking of renting. I have found that a lot of times the bad reviews are written by someone who didn't get their way and they need someplace to wreak vengeance.

How bitter of an exemployee do you have to be to post this? All people moving into an apartmetn commuity are suposed to read the lease before signing it. They are fully aware of what the penalties of breaking a lease are when they sign it upon move in. You are correct usually if someone has to break their lease they are not prepared to give 60 days notice, but why is this the management companies fault? anytime i have ever moved in under a special I have always signed a paper stating that I am agreeing if I do not fulfill my lease I have to pay back what ever of the concession I used. If you are a previous employee I am sure you know this is a common practice in property management. Regarding you rcomment about the company in business to make money ... is'nt this the goal of every company?

One more note prior to my departure. Please read the entry dated January 31, 2009. I assure you that it is from an associate of UDR, Inc. This will solidify for you the type of environment you will reside within. As a manager of any organization, I would be embarrassed to have an entry such as this one represent my company. It is clear; English was not during high school years and currently as an adult their strong subject! The boat was missed on a number of occasions!
