I am very unclear as to what has happened here, but I feel it necessary to write a response to several postings that have been made very recently. My name is ------ ------- and I am a former employee and resident of Mill Pond Village. If I were not concerned about my reputation in the apartment industry in Salisbury, I wouldn't be taking the time to do this. However, a distant relative has decided to smear my and my husband's names all over this website and unfortunately, getting apartmentratings.com to remove the posts will probably take longer than I have have patience to wait.
I have on only one occasion posted a review regarding Mill Pond Village to this website. It was posted in February, and I didn't choose to attach my name to it because I felt that my name in association with it would make it seem biased to those who knew I worked there. I believe and stand firm by my opinion that Mill Pond Village is the best community in the Salisbury area and would recommend it highly to anyone. You will hear stories of the community manager making people angry or doing things that 'seem' unfair, but I assure you as someone who worked very close with her for years, without knowing the entire story, you can't possibly say that she is being unfair. She only comes down on those who have violated their leases, and will treat you with the same level of respect you treat her.
In a situation where you honestly do feel she has done you an injustice, or you feel she has violated the law somehow, please look up an organization called 'Baltimore Neighborhoods Inc'. That is an organization that produces a manual called Marylands Guide to Landlord Tenant Relations. This guide describes in detail all laws that govern the landlord tenant relationship and is vital for every single renter to posess, regardless of situation. It is extremely clear on every situation as it may present itself, for example termination of your lease agreement. It is a common misconception that 30 days notice is required regardless of what the lease says. That is untrue. The state of Maryland upholds the notice required as it is defined in the lease, whether it be 7 days, 30 days, 60 days or whatever. It is also within the landlord's right to charge any termination fee they choose to be reasonable (up to the equivelent of *I believe* 2 months rent, but don't quote me on that), as long as they designate that amount in the lease.
I assure you, though, ------ IS a just person and she does not step outside the law in any instance. The consequences for that are too steep, and she has more integrity than that.
In my opinion, it seems that the majority of negative comments posted to this website have been all posted by the same person in order to lower the 'score' that the property receives. I quite honestly don't know why this person has waged a personal war against me and Mill Pond Village. This is a person who I have literally not spoken to in years and choose not to associate with because of her irratic behavior.
This will be the only time I respond to her postings on this website, and I thank anyone who has taken the time to read this. Many people who come across this site quite likely know me from their association with the apartment industry, and I am glad to have the opportunity to state that I would never indulge in the childish behavior that has been smeared all over this site.

omg this review is a hilarious weak attempt to try and make ------ ------- feel better about her self, she is kidding herself when she says that Mill Pond is the best community in town, it may be a great community with horrible management. LMAO. this is really entertaining, seeing a psychotic person try to present themselves as normal.

hey angie you are a good person who does not need to good this low to try to help someone who does not even care to have you around she did say one day to me that you are only bitter for leaving this job and not coming back no matter what. you should pick your friend differently and think about what your action will produce in the end. If you can call the manager your friend then you need to know things that are really being said about you from her to others. Pick your fights do not let them pick it for you.

i posted on this website several months ago. My family and I have since moved out of Mill Pond. I promise you I do not personally know ------ outside of her role as a property manager. I came back to this site to write a glowing review for the complex we have moved to from Mill Pond and decided to see if anyone had the same complaints we had about Mill Pond Village and ------. We lived there for 2 years. The first year we had no problems. Then we moved to a first floor apartment, one of the older buildings. We had so much mold and moisture everywhere. Then our problems started with ------. ------ refused to fix the mold problem. Instead. she started claiming our account was late even when it wasn't. We suddenly had all this overdue rent and fees. Everytime we talked to her, she told us a different amount. One month she told us our account was completely caught up, then on the 29th of that month, 7 days before rent was due!!!, court papers were filed. Does she think we don't know how to read a date on a court paper. Don't tell me she doesn't lie. She thinks she is all powerful and she does whatever she wants.
Also, I know personally of at least two other people who have written negative reviews on this site. They are regular residents who have valid complaints. They are not people who have a personal vendeta against ------. I also know of 3 other families who moved out of the complex completely unhappy.
Truly, the apartments are crap. They are pieced together here and there. They are not adequately cleaned prior to move in.
How any resident could not be furious about the pool situation is beyond me. Don't advertise pools and then make it vitually impossible to use them.
I really, really am just a former resident who was extremely unhappy.
By the way, we found out the mold problem still wasn't fixed in our old apartment, even after we moved out. Just repainted.
I tell everyone I see that Mill Pond Village is mold infested and a horrible place to live. Funny thing is, so many people say, "I've heard that before about Mill Pond Village"
