I do like my apartment for what it is, an apartment. It is a little cramped, but that is just because we have so much stuff. My neighbors are really nice, and never hear anything out of the ordinary for an apartment as far as noise from other apartments. Every now and then I will have to park across the street, but it is rare for the most part.

The office staff is another story. I am in property management, and have managed everything from college apartments to $3000 a month apartments in Boston, and now manager a 11 HOA's. This is the worse staff I have ever seen. If you work during the week (I leave at 7:30 and return home at 6) you can not get anything done from the office, as most messages I have left were lost to the world. So I have to go to the office to get anything accomplished. It took me 3 months to get a signed copy of the lease. The person working on the weekends can not do anything productive, and is really just there to show an apartment, but she can not type leases, look up your account, or do anything else and is generally worthless if you already live in the community. But to be fair I do not beleive that is her fault, but that of the management that have not trained her (Or so I can only assume)

We had an issue with our A/C freezing over while we were gone. We had previously placed two calls to get it fixed. The second call actually got someone to come to the apartment. Then we come home from a 4 day trip to find it frozen over. They once again had complaints and a bunch of BS for why it wasn't their fault. So then when the electric bill can for $360 (Previous two months had only been $80 and $110), they said there was nothing they could do, and that the owners had said they would not cover anything. I stated that 1/2 of the increase from the previous month would have satisfied my issue, and the manager said she agreed wit me. She also said during that time frame the average temperature was 58, and said I could research it as well if I wanted (I did and found the average for that month to be 70, and it was 78 during the time frame in question). My most recent bill came to $122 with the heat set to 69 on a ground floor apartment with a lot of sun during the day. I wrote a letter to the owners, who to date have not cared enough to send me any correspondence which was requested.

If you like a nice apartment with HORRIBLE service then this place is for you. But I will be moving at the end of my lease, not sure where to yet, but if it involves a cardboard box then that would be fine with me. The property management is that bad.

Update: I have given my notice, and will be moving out as soon as the lease has ended. While I was in the office the manager hung the phone up on two seperate residents. She may have been having a bad day, but I know children that act more professional. If the management wasn't SOOOOOO bad I wouldn't mind living here. Feel free to E-mail me if you have any questions as I would be more then happy to answere any questions.

I agree with your comments about management. My son rents an apt. there. He has also had issue with his AC unit freezing over.He called down 3 times - no shows each with a promise to have someone there as soon as possible. The heat was unbearable in his apt. My husband got involved! Not pretty! Someone appeared an worked on the unit within the hour. This was just one incident amoung the many where the management has failed concerning repair issues. My son will be leaving as soon as his lease is up!!!
