Please look several places before selecting Howard Hills

I have lived here for almost ten years, (and will not be renewing my lease, finally). The best advice I can offer is to please look at several townhome communities before selecting these places. My sole reason for living at Howard Hills this long is because my child was attending school close by. Don't be taken in by the model homes. The kitchen appliances, cabinets, counter tops and bathroom fixtures need to be updated in all the townhomes. The fixtures are very old and outdated. Not modern at all. The downstairs bathroom does not have a vanity to cover the pipe that is exposed under the sink, very unattractive to look see. The upstair bathroom has old fixtures, old shower head and old dark color vanities along with medicine cabinet and light fixtures. The dining room and kitchen light fixtures belong else where and ceiling fans should be there instead. For the rent they are charging, there is absolutely nothing modern about these places at all. No two units look the same. One unit may be more updated than the other, so you will be taking a chance if you decided to rent from these people. Since I have been a tenant here and received a rent increase every year, there has not been one improvement or update to my Unit to even justify this increase. This is embarrassing. The only improvements ever made since I have lived here were repavement of the parking lot or a new playground. If you want to look at beautiful townhomes, look at Basford Retreat just around the corner from Howard Hills. They are a little expensive, but worth your hard earned money. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

I must say I cannot agree as I have lived at Howard Hills for seventeen years and have rented two different style home. In the beginning the place was somewhat of a problem but when the new manager came in not only did upgrades start occuring but each and every time I went to renew I was asked if there was anything in the home that required attention. I have had my home repainted two times at no cost to me, have had my appliances replaced as necessary and even had my cabinets upgraded in my seventh year here. All I have to do is ask and it is amazing how quickly the managemnet staff responds. My home surely does not look like a trailer park and never once have any of my four children felt that they lived in one. Try talking to the manager as we have done abnd you would be amazed what is done when it is needed. Also, it surprises me that if you are so unhappy that you stayed so long. Most of the people I talk to have stayed - not just because of the schools - but, because they get the attention they need!

My response to this posting is just come and see the models for yourself and decide whether you feel it's worth the money each month they are charging and decide which comments on this page are more truthful. Upgrades are needed in all units, not just a selected few. I would not call these places trailer park. Just plain, nothing really to get excited about.

The reason you are probably getting such great treatment is because you've lived at the complex for 17 years and they charish their old tenants more than the new ones. Since the new management took over it has been a mess maintanance take forever to come out for repairs. Manangement is not professional and understanding and they do not act on complaints. For those of you who wonder why people stay maybe because moving is expensive and maybe the lease was not over.I will not be renewing my lease.
