RIA is a ghetto apartment complex. The inside of the remodeled apts is really nice but the outside leaves a lot to be desired. It looks like a prison with piles of dirt, horrid landscaping, drainage issues (puddles in the parking lot so your feet get wet whenever you go to your car - also fun when they freeze).

Also, there is a pool but it is closed practically all summer long and no rent discount. Lots of construction starting at 6AM, loud fights and domestic disturbances, drug dealing, crime, etc. Furthermore, the lights on the sidewalk are always burnt out making walking feel very unsafe at night.

This place is not worth your time or money.. don't live here.

Although, the location is awesome - 30 minutes to DC and Baltimore with lots of shopping, etc. 10 minutes away. Perhaps in a few years this place will be nicer.

The apartment was once getto this is true, but it takes a while to get rid of the the problem people. It is not as easy as some people think that it is. The apartment is under COntruction to bring it back to a beautiful place to live. People should discuss with the office on when the estimated time when the project will be complete. My understanding is that it will be done by July 2006. The pool Was open all the summer of 2005. The manager there had told me that the pool is getting an iron gated fence this year. It is always worth for yourself to visit the property at different hours of the day to see what it is like. There is also security on duty.

I agree, the location is nice but there are much better places to live in Savage, perhaps the apartment complex located directly next to R.I.

RISucks, which apartments next to RI would those be? and have you lived there? why would you want to live in apts that are directly next to RI if RI is so bad and unsafe. sounds like a rather bias opinion.
