It's not what is used to be...

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2009
I've been living in Somerset woods since 2005. The first years were great, no big issues. It was a nice value for the money with a decent quiet neighboorhood (even with section 8 housing up the street). However, over the past year or so, the neighborhood has changed. A lot of people are hanging outside at all hours of night, whether is cold or hot! Parking has become a mess, because there are people that park in my lot and don't even live there. It's really become a ridiculous. I guess, I'm fortunate to not have roaches, but I live in end unit. However, the cricket problem has gotten worse. Let's just put it this way, it's sad when the pizza and fast food resturants don't deliver in your area...I'm sure you can guess why. And lastly, maintenance has declined. Normally, they will come to our house with in days. Now, it takes like a month! My dryer was malfunctioning and called the leasing office atleast three times to get taken care of. The leasing manager gave me some excuse that maintence was backed up...none the less maintenance did arrive until a month later. I really thought that it was isolated incidenct until I saw maintenance just chillin' outside one day. Overall, if you are looking for value then maybe somerset woods is right for you, but if you are not comfortable questionable activity going on around the neighboorhodd, then I would think twice about somerset woods. I am seriously considering moving once my lease is up in 2010.
