Nice place, wish the service was better

First impression of Alexander House was beyond belief. The sales person was wonderful at her job. She made us feel special and welcomed. The problems started during the move in. Someone else was using the loading dock, which we had reserved. It took an extra two hours to get them to vacate the dock and start our move and the mood of the person vacating was not pleasant.
We live on the 17th floor and love our view and our apartment. The issue we have is that we were not allowed to look at the apt. before moving in. The kitchen is much smaller than that of the model we saw with very limited cabinet space. The other glaring problem is the vibration of the sliding glass doors when it is windy. The service personnel have obviously worked on the door, replacing the screen door. However, we were not notified when the work was done and only discovered someone had entered the apartment when we saw the screen door gone, then later replaced. Unfortunately, the problem persists.
Overall, a nice place to live for a while, but not a place I will be at for long. The place is very quite in terms of neighbor noise (I have not heard anyone and I know I have neighbors with children) but inadequately insulated in terms of weather. It get quite cold when the temp. drops outside.
Security is hit or miss as well. The pizza guy comes up with out being announced (as is required by our lease) yet friends are often hassled.
Good luck.
