Worst Living Experience Ever

Unscrupulous management. KEEP ABSOLUTELY EVERY RECEIPT AND PIECE OF CORRESONDENCE FROM THEM. EVERY PIECE. AND THERE ARE REAMS OF LETTERS FROM THEM. Security guards at the desk, but preoccupied with flirting with tenants or on the phone - anyone walks in. They seriously don't notice who comes and goes. Drug dealing rampant in the building. Frequent unauthorized entry by staff into the units, though they will deny it. Very expensive. In the winter the windows rattle and the air streams right through taking your heat out with it. Tenants are a strange mix of professional working people and section-8. Six inches of concrete between the units can't stop the outrageously loud, blaring music from neighbors. Constant loitering in the lobby and in front of the building.
Positives - beautiful building outwardly, units are attractive & clean, can be quiet if you're lucky neighbor-wise ... well, that's just about it. I've lived in downtown DC for many years and I've never seen such lying, disrespectful staff & out of control tenants. Never lived in a mixed building w/ Sect. 8 before. In theory, it's a good idea. In practice, it's hell on earth manned by the cheesiest staff around.
