THEFT at Alexander House apartments

Tonight my car was broken into while it was parked in Alexander House's supposedly "secure" underground parking garage. One of the 2 garage doors has been broken for THREE MONTHS now and is left open for any criminal to walk into our "secure" parking garage.

The management at Alexander House is incompetent and unresponsive. After the garage door has been left open and broken for 2 months, the management finally sends a notice saying they are working to negotiate a contact on it. 1 month after that memo, THE GARAGE DOOR IS STILL BROKEN AND LEFT OPEN -- so this apparently left a nice opening for some criminal to just waltz in and break into my car and steal some of my possessions.

And who knows when the broken garage door will actually be fixed. THREE MONTHS have gone by -- 1/4 of the year (!) with no remedy to this situation. After 3 months of this, I have no confidence that this will be taken care of anytime soon.

There are so many other areas that the management has shown itself to be incompetent and unresponsive in regards to the lack of sufficient air conditioning in the building's hallways and inside the elevators (really stuffy and hot during the summer). Yet the management DOES ensure that their own office and lobby is very well air conditioned and cool/comfortable.

Also the automatic handicapped door opener for those in wheelchairs has been intermittently broken for several weeks -- I really feel for anyone in a wheelchair who presses the handicapped button to open the doors and the doors do not work.

The Alexander House apartment itself is nice, BUT the incompetent and unresponsive management makes it REALLY frustrating and unpleasant to live here. And I've talked to many other residents here who also feel really frustrated with the management and living here.

For anyone considering moving into this building, trust me on this --> DO NOT MOVE HERE. You will really regret it as many of who are now stuck here in a leasing contract do.

If it so bad why do you continue to live at the Alexander House; you could move. Or does your credit suck and you have to stay because you can't get approved for another community in the area.
