Moved to Alexander House in the fall of 2005 and can't wait to leave. The previous management was marginal to unresponsive but warmed up after a while. New management is pretty miserable with plenty of attitude. Here are some observations and opinions:

1-Security is a joke given that people walk in all the time behind residents by holding the door.

2-The tenants treat the building like garbage and throw trash on the floors of elevators and in the hall ways. Someone spit on the walls in the elevator recently and another tenant let her dog crap in the elevator.

3-The elevators have expired inspections since Feb 2006 and no one cares to ofix the problem.

4-Apartment is seriously overpriced for the location and the lack of quality in some of the residents.

5-On occassion I have seen residents pan handle at the Metro then come up the elevator to their apartment.

6-Please note that the building does accept Section 8 residents.

That place sounds like its real ghetto.
