I have looked at all the reviews for this building, and while it's not perfect, I don't get where some of the negative statements are coming from. I have lived here for over a year, and have had experience with both the old and the new management companies. The previous company was ok, but I think the new company is an improvement. Do they give me a big hug and a cookie every time I walk into the office' No, and I don't expect them to. I do expect them to be businesslike and to respond to any concerns I might have, and they do. Here are some of the things I have observed.

1. I knew about the Section 8 tenants prior to moving in, and was concerned with how that would effect the quality of service/life in the building, but over all I have had no problems at all. People tend to keep to themselves, and pretty much everyone I have encountered has been very nice, or at least polite.

2. I must agree with the complaints about paper, etc left in the hallways and elevators on occasion. It's not an everyday thing and is never extreme, but it is annoying especially when you have guests over. The buildng in general is kept in good condition by managment.

3. Maintenance issues are almost always completely resolved within 24 hours of a complaint being made, and when there is a delay (it's never been more than 48 hours to my memory) the new management company will call, explain, and give a timeline. I have been happy with service in this regard.

4. When we first moved in, there were some serious noise problems; not through the walls (I rarely hear my neighbors at all), but across the courtyard. The few times we complained in the past, response was pretty much immediate. There have not been any noise problems in months.

5. There were problems with the garage doors being left open for the first few months we lived there, but since they were resolved things have been fine

I have heard people complain about security letting people into the building in the past, I don't know if that's still an ongoing problem. I haven't had a problem myself. In general, while there is room for improvement, I have no major complaints. I like living here.
