I have lived here for just over a year now, and while this complex has it share of problems common to most apartment buildings (i.e., roaches, inconsistent trash pick up, laughable business center and athletic facility) it is the management staff that has time and time again come to disappoint me. Only recently did my fianc e and receive a notification that we would be sued because we had not paid our rent in a timely manner.

We have never been late with our rent and were not on this occasion. However, two weeks after dropping our rent check in the deposit box in the lobby we received a letter with the very same check under our door stating that we had only dropped it off the day before! Communication with the in-house management staff proved fruitless and tiresome as the manager all but accused me of lying, say that if she found it on that day then that was the day it was dropped and the burden of proof rested with me! I contacted the corporate office and spoke with a VP and was told the same line, but she did tell me that if I could remember what time of the day I dropped it off - two weeks prior while racing off to vacation - they would look at the security camera to verify my story. Not only that but she also told me that three other tenants were claiming that they dropped off their rent the same day that I did and that their rent did not appear until the same day that mines did. I asked her if that seemed strange that four totally different people should have the same problem and she stated that it did not. Needless to say my fianc e was in inconsolable and in tears when I related the outcome of this to her.

I am in the customer service industry as well, and I can tell you that if anyone of my staff treated a client in this fashion they would be looking for employment elsewhere. I will not be renewing my lease here and am actively seeking to release myself from it. I have never experienced this kind of treatment from a rental management company in all my years of leasing. All I can say is buyer beware!

How much money do you pay in rent, is the rent cheap there you know they say you get what you pay for????
