Hi I was wondering if I could get an update about how things are going. My boyfriend and I are considering signing a lease in August and I'd love to hear from current residents about present problems. The main concern for me is safety, and i'm pleased to read from the other reviews that there aren't any current bug problems (perhaps an update on that too')
thanks for your time!!

I feel like this area is VERY safe. I walk my dog at all hours of the day and night and the most troublesome things I've ever seen are some kids hanging out on the corner. But they mostly just sit and talk as far as I can tell. As to bug problems, I'm thrilled to say that aside from the occasional fly or moth that flies in when I open my balcony door or leave my apartment door open for too long, I've had no problems with them.
In general, I like the grounds keeping team, the landscape is kept nice, and maintenance seems to respond very quickly to my online requests of stuff like, "part of the carpet in the hall has torn, please fix". I have had some problems with the management when my rent increased with an accidental overcharge, but once I actually spoke to someone on the phone, it was resolved amicably.
The management does NOT respond quickly to emails, so I recommend phone calls or in-person visits for management issues.

I am a new resident to Aston Woods. I've been here for a short few months. I can say that there are NO roaches AT ALL!.. There are very minimal ants that will pop are here and there, but I was pleasantly surprised by the bug-free apartment. I was worried about safety as well, particularly for my vehicle. I am happy to report that this complex is extremely safe...No management is a different story. They continously give out misinformation and contradict themselves.

Hey if you want to try before you lease, I am subletting my apartment for the month of August since I'm moving to a new condo. My lease is through September 1, so if you like it you can renew, if not you can move out without any penalty. Look for my ad (search "aston woods") on Craigslist.
