I have lived here for little over a year. Our apartment is very nice. We moved into a newly remodled unit so we have all new appliances, carpet, bathroom, chair railings, just nice to look at. When winter came, we were having trouble with our heat, the maintenance came and replaced out furnace the same day. It's very quiet and I love the nice, clean neighborhood. I go for walks daily and it's nice to see so many other people out walking, jogging and walking their dogs. We use to fitness center daily and we love it and the pool is very nice.

Now the negatives. When we first moved in we encountered bugs. We called the rental office about it on a Friday. They told us we would have to wait until Wednesday for pest control because that was the ONLY day he came out and that they would put in the work order for our unit. We went out and bought our own debugging supplies and did our own extermination of our unit. Well, Wednesday came and went and the exterminator never showed. My husband went to the rental office and was told that the guy turned in a completed work order saying he sprayed our apartment but he NEVER really showed because we were home ALL day waiting for him. Fortunately for us our methods were adequate and we were succesful in getting rid of the bugs.
Recently we had issues with termites that came in through the cracks in the window when they put down new mulch. We called the rental office. They told us there really was nothing maintenance could do. She basically asked what did we expect them to do. My husband demanded that they send maintence over. What a waste of time. I had killed most of them with spray starch becausre that was all I had and they just came and looked at them and informed us that they would ask management to pay for an exterminator.

I also need to point out that we DO NOT have a land line in our home because during the remodling process, the phone lines were cut somewhere and management refused to have them repaired. We were told by them that if we wanted use of the phone lines then we need to have Verizon come out and pay them up to $500 out of our pocket.

You need to contact Montgomery County Landlord/Tenant Affairs code enforcement. By law they are to provide you with at least one working phone line in your apartment. Please call they are breaking the law.
