I lived at Aston Woods five years ago. I couldn't get out fast enough.

Hornets entered the apartment through the sliding glass door, which had a gap between the two glass portions - something I've never seen before or since.

Squirrels literally chewed through the clapboard siding and I could hear them scampering in the wall and ceiling... I love squirrels, but I don't want to live that closely with them. The hole was left unrepaired for weeks. This was summer, and I was terrified that the hornets would decide to move into the walls if they got tired of coming through the sliding glass door. The rental office personnel thought this was all very funny.

One of my neighbors was a drunk and spent every evening, every weekend, and every holiday sitting in his car, mildly intoxicated, blaring his stereo right below my bedroom window. Since the apartments are on one side of the building only [all your rooms face the parking lot or face the pool] it was impossible to escape his noise. I spent a year wearing earplugs whenever I was home.

It was impossible to get any maintenance done. It was impossible to get any pest control done. The renter who described the 'next Wednesday - no, the OTHER next Wednesday - well, they didn't have their stuff with them' game is describing exactly what I experienced five years previously.

The toilet was loose on the bathroom floor.

The bathroom fan sounded like a jet engine, and the people below me liked to turn theirs on at 10 PM and leave it running for hours.

After a year of this, these nincompoops were going to hike my rent by $300 a month. I got out so fast it scorched my hair.

Five years later... based on these reviews, the place is pretty much the same. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there.

I've lived in five states, on both the East and West coasts, and overseas, in three different countries, and this is, absolutely, positively, without qualification, the WORST rental housing I have EVER experienced.
