I've lived at Aston Woods for 2 years. On the positive side, the apartments are very modern and updated, totally bug-free, and people freely walk their dogs and jog at their leisure.On the negative side, management here is totally incompetent. The property manager Cynthia is rude and unprofessional. The staff in the rental office changes every few months, probably because they can't stand Cynthia, so they resign. Recently, several cars have been stolen at the property.I had to find this out from a neighbor, since no notices were posted about the criminal activity!! To add insult to injury, there is no security patrol or surveillance at all. The rental office sends paperwork to you stating you owe a balance, when you do not.. there's always discrepancies on all of their paperwork!! Please keep your own records to protect yourself!

I'm glad I read this. I am a resident and I was not aware of the criminal activity. But like you said, no notices were sent so how would I know. I noticed the new staff in the leasing office as well and the old ones, who were actually doing their job, are gone. The need to do something about Cynthia, she is the worst property manager I have ever had to deal with.

I guess this is the only way to keep anyone posted on the crime in the complex since no one in the leasing office is doing anything about it. I have personally seen 2 cars in the past month with the car windows broken out I called the leasing office to ask if they were notified of this and they told me that no one had reported it which I find really hard to believe. I asked to speak to Cynthia and I was told she no longer worked there. I also asked if they were going to get someone to patrol the complex and I was told she would look into it and I should call back, she also went on to let me know that it was the "Holiday Season" and the crime is to be expected.

I am a resident and that is an unacceptable response. Yes, crime is to be expected around the holiday season at a mall or any other retail location where people expect there to be merchandise in the car but I have never heard of crime rising in residental areas during the holidays. They are just being completely lazy as usual. If that is the case then they need to have someone partolling the area since crime is more likely around the holiday season. BS! I hope that you are right that Cynthia is no longer there however it looks like they may have gone from bad to worse. I called the management office last week and had to speak with dumb and dumber. I have just a few more months left on my lease and I'm leaving.
