Pricey, but Nice Place

I've lived here since last fall and I couldn't say nicer things about the staff. Everyone has been helpful and willing to go the extra mile if I have a question or need something to be taken care of like maintenance issues.

It is one of the few places in Silver Spring that has a W/D in unit with reserved parking in a gated garage (which is expensive, but within DC-area standards) where I felt safe coming home late at night. Being a girl, this was a big concern of mine. The apartments themselves are nice and I enjoy having the luxury of having a business center, fitness room, and club room which I have noticed people going to watch sports games on the large plasma lately. Downside is a lot of people download programs (and I am guessing viruses) onto the computers so they are sometimes broken and need repair.

I typically am skeptical of people complaining about noise since I am used to living in apartments where I hear sirens, but the train noise is pretty loud and I have a side apartment (not facing the tracks). I would also recommend ppl check their windows since I had to put plastic over the windows to keep out a winter draft. The metro train is something that I have grown used to, but the CSX trains along with their whistles are pretty loud so light sleepers should beware. I do enjoy hearing the waves from the fountain/wave machine next to the building.

The building does not have guest parking which is a problem and I wish the management would have thought about that or made a few spaces available in an agreement with the condos next door. There is free guest parking, but like another reviewer said it is only on weekends and after 7PM.

A Giant Food and 24-hour CVS are right down the street as well as the metro which just opened up an entrance on the East West Highway side (versus having to go around to the main entrance). Downtown Silver Spring is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on how fast you walk which is nice for those that do not want to deal with parking.

Overall I am happy with my experience, the apartment and the staff, but will be moving on because the rent is too high.
