towing a moving truck

I tried to move into this place last night. I drove up in a suburban, towing a 5X8 uhaul trailer with everything I own. It was 9:30pm or so, and there was nowhere to park. I couldn't even have parked the truck by itself, let alone with a trailer. So I pulled off the roadway in the parking lot and onto the grass. Off the fire lanes, mind you, so there was no safety hazard, and where there was not a "no parking" sign to be found. I figured I could unload in the morning. Negative - they towed both the truck and trailer. Separately. It will cost over $200 to get them back. Come on, what the heck are you supposed to do' So I haven't even moved in yet and I'm having problems with the policies around here. I've heard that the woman at the office is a complete pain, too, so I don't expect any help from that quarter.
As I write this from the discomfort of my apartment, I'm assaulted by the sound of two or three jackhammers and multiple heavy vehicle beepers. It's been going on for 2 hours already - it's only 9:00am. On top of the noise coming from the street, the heating/ac system produces industrial strength ventilation noise.
I've been visiting a resident here off and on since July (it's December now) and the noise has been consistently obnoxious. In addition, the woman I've visited noted three or four "needs repair" items on the move in checklist in July. I know of three of them that have not received attention yet.

Oh yeah, one last thing. It's never been easy to turn into this apartment complex. If you are coming from 16th street, you turn onto east west highway and have to make a left into the lot about 100 feet from the stoplight at e/w hwy and 16th. East west highway is an absolute nightmare during any hours you are likely to want to make such a turn. It's always been a pain to try to get in from that direction. Now, however, they've stuck a median in there, and it is physically impossible to make that left turn. The management's fix was to send a note to everyone telling them to continue on down east west hwy, then make a left into the next apartment complex (still not a simple affair), turn around, make a right onto east west, then you can enter the parking lot to falkaland chase. Just the hassle you want to deal with after work in rush hour traffic or whenever.
By the way, you may see some reviews on this or other sites in which the author claims not to have had problems of the sorts described in earlier writeups. Yet another resident tole me, and it is my understanding, that those rebuttals were written by Dina, the general manager of Falkland chase. Note the writing styles of the rebuttals.
If you are considering renting an apartment here (don't), please check these things out. Take a look at the parking entrance (the one on the opposite side of 16th from the office), have them fire up the heating or AC, take a look at the faucets and door knobs and locks.
