I have lived here for 3 years. I know that many people experienced problems with Avalon Bay as management. I had very positive experiences with Avalon, however. The new management, Home Properties, is a different story -- it is is awful. Beyond bad. The greenery is unkempt. The shrubbery is overgrown. Dirty leaves have sat on the ground all winter. None of this was in such a state of disrepair under Avalon Bay.
In addition, it took me 6 attempts, including 3 in-person, to obtain a copy of the 6 month lease that I signed in October.
Moreover, I have seen bugs in the common area of my building. I never saw bugs under Avalon's management.
I do not recommend moving in here -- the community is in a sad state of neglect and disrepair.
