Paying resident finds problems with management

I have lived in FC for more than three years. The truth is that the quality of FC has gone down with the buyout by Home Properties. The landscaping upkeep has degraded, the office staff customer service and response has taken a nosedive, and more than a handful of residents are disgruntled for one reason or another. The new management does not communicate well with residents. There are rumors of plans for renovations (which are badly needed), but we have been told nothing.
I have been waiting for 6 months for Home Properties to get its act together, but it appears they have a different mindset than Avalon. Their attitude in all things seems to be 'we do as little as possible but charge as much rent as we possibly can'.
The bottom line is this: the place is old but quaint, in need of renovations, great for dog owners, great location, nice townhomes, nice (though failing) garden setting. But most of us feel we are paying too much for substandard apartments, community problems, and 'pain to deal with' management.
oh and i've always paid my rent (how much can you know after living in a place for two months')
