As someone who has lived in three different complexes in the area (Summit Hills, The Blairs and now Falkland Chase), I have to say that overall Falkland Chase is your best bet for the area. The apartments are not perfect by any means (none of the above mentioned are!) BUT I greatly appreciate the turn around time on ALL service requests. Last week my air condition went out (during a holiday weekend) and within MINUTES, someone was there to fix it. I had a mold problem in my bathroom and the same day I put in a service request to fix it, they professionally cleaned the problem areas and came back the next day to finish up.

Reasons why I like Falkland:
Proximity to the metro, shopping and downtown SS.
Pet friendly(only a few in SS), dog parks
Hardwood floors and nice spacious layouts
Good for the money (space, proximty to metro)I know people complain about rent increases (myself included) but after looking at other places, this is by far the best deal for what you get in this area
Green...trees!!


Room for improvement:
Laundry. I dread laudry days. Those laudry rooms are pretty shabby and difficult to get to. It's annoying that you can't add money to your card at the laudry rooms (especially if you live on the other side of the road).
I would also like to see more lights for safety and more recycling bins (it is clear that residents like to recycle, they should make it easier to do so). Also feel that the management company should inform residents of safety issues (break-ins, assault, etc) as it is important for us to know. I am glad to see police patrolling this area more as it is still rough sometimes.
