I just recently viewed an apartment at Gramax Towers and must say I was impressed with the apartment. A 2 bedroom/ 2 bath is approximately 1000 square feet, which is average in the Silver Spring area. Nice size kitchen and bathrooms, full size washer and dryer (which really got me). The things I didn't like was that electric and water is not included and that you have to pay for underground parking ($110 month). The only other option is street parking and I'm too familiar with the area, so I already know that the street parking would be a major headache and I would have no choice but to pay for garage parking. The lobby, elevators and hallways in the building were clean and well maintained.
My biggest issue was with the leasing agent. She was not mean, very nice actually, but also a bit ghetto for reasons that I don't won't comment on just in case I decide to apply here! lol! Let's just put it this way, I don't think their main focus is running the rental office.
I have to say that I've looked at 30 apartments (literally) in Silver Spring and so far these have been the best for the price if you qualify under their income qualifications. However, I can see why people who don't get the income break would not be so happy with the rent that they're paying here.

Did you decide to live here? I'm looking for an apartment in Silver Spring/Takoma Park area and am wondering if this is even worth checking out.
