I did not actually live in these apartments. After the hassle of simply applying for an apartment, I decided to warn other apartment seekers. Overall, the (model) unit itself was not horrible. They advertised it as a two bedroom apartment, but the "second" bedroom was entirely too small when compared to others we had seen. The grounds were clean, but it smelled like garbage directly in front of the leasing office (not the best way to introduce yourself to potential renters), and there was not assigned parking, which might have been a problem. The buildings looked decent, but many of them could have used some work on the outside, at least. (The balcony looked like it was falling off one of them.) The biggest problem with these apartments was the management. After looking at the model, my finace and I decided to apply as a backup. As soon as we started asking questions about the apartments and the application, the woman we were talking to became unbelievably confused, as if she had never dealt with people interested in renting. We were promised no application fee and a month free of rent if we applied then and accepted the apartment by a certain date. Because I was told I would receive my money back if we declined the apartment, I handed over a $100 "holding" fee. After some confusion on the part of the management, I called only four days after applying to say that we had found another apartment and to ask when I could get my money back. I was told (after being passed from one person to another for some time) that I could not get my money back after three days. There was NO mention of this when we applied, or we wouldn't have bothered. As I stated, we weren't that interested in the first place. I wouldn't recommend this apartment to anyone simply based on my experience applying for one.
