Great grounds, great pet community, nice area

I have lived at Hampton Point for 2 years now. I have two dogs and it was very difficult initially to find somewhere in the DC area that was nice, wouldn't charge $60 extra each month for pets, actually had free (and ample) parking, and was in a great area. I LOVE my place. It is very modern (big open kitchen, fireplace, new appliances/carpets), but isn't incredibly expensive. I pretty much never hear my neighbors so the units are pretty noise-proof too. The management is always very nice to me. Things are repaired quickly if necessary, and the staff is very friendly(although they aren't always open at 8:00 a.m. like they say for those of us trying to get packages before work). The grounds are beautiful...at least 2 times a week they have a company out mowing grass, planting flowers, etc. I will say that it isn't great if you have to metro into DC. There is a bus that takes you directly to silver spring metro from our complex, but between the bus ride and the metro, it takes about 1-1.5 hours to get to DC. For those of us who drive, the commute is only about 30-45 minutes depending on weather so it is reasonable. My fiance and I looked everywhere to try to move closer in to DC this year, but after looking at prices and area we decided that Hampton Point was the best deal around so we decided to move to the biggest unit they have (which still is very cheap for this area) and stay for another year.
