Great value, great place to live

I had a great experience at Hampton Point Apartments. From the time we took our first tour of the apts, we enjoyed working with the people in the leasing office. We were further impressed and surprised at the value of the apartments. Built in the mid to late 80's, it is a fairly new complex. It is built in a neighborhood of around 6 or 7 other apartment complexes and is a 3 minute drive to Briggs Chaney Shopping Center (Safeway, Subway, Ross, Chucky Cheese, Chinese Restaurant, Dollar Store, Exxon, McDonalds, Wendy's, Bank of America) and also close to the Auto Park which has dealerships of nearly every major car manufacturer around. Very convenient when getting your car serviced. Hampton Point is also located across the street from a MetroBus stop and a Rec Center.

Maintenance is great and usually completes repairs within 24 hours and is on 24 hour call for emergencies. The grounds are kept neat and clean and are well lit at night. Parking can be tough as there are no permits or assigned spots. So sometimes there are long walks after coming home from work.

Only problem (as is with most rental offices) is the package holding. I was waiting for 2 packages one time and since they close at 5:00 and I don't get home till 6:30 I can never go during the week. I went on Saturday after having received the UPS notification in my mailbox. I was told I had no packages and so I called UPS and they confirmed that it had been signed by a woman in the rental office and they gave me her name. I called them back and THAT woman answered the phone. I said, "UPS says you signed for my packages." Then she put me on hold and came back and said, "Oh, I found em." Great. So I had to wait till the following Saturday to retrieve my packages.

Overall, however, I would definitely recommend Hampton Point as a great place to live. There are far more pros than cons and it really is a great value. My girlfriend and I are just starting out after both recently graduating from college. So we wanted a really nice apartment but didn't want to have to spend a lot. Hampton Point provided us with just that.
