Nice place, but electric bill high!

I enjoyed my experience at Hampton Point Apartments. I lived here from 2003 - 2004. I always felt safe. The parking lots are well lit and the community is well kept. I did have some problems while living at Hampton Point, but I think this would have been true regardless of where I'd lived. I lived in a third floor apartment and with the vaulted ceilings it tended to get very chilly during the winter months. My electric bill would sky rocket. The fireplace was cozy and helped to alleviate some of the problem. Another issue I had was ants coming into the kitchen beneath the front door. The maintenance staff tried to eliminate the problem and would be successful for a while, but the ants were pretty hardy and would return after a few weeks. I kept some RAID on hand. Maintenance was responsive though. We also had a problem in the parking lot with wind blowing over the young trees during heavy rainstorms. I tried not to park near the trees. I rarely had difficulty finding a parking spot, except if I were returning home after midnight on a weekend. These were minor inconveniences though and I would rent here again. Overall, the place was clean, well kept, and the staff was prompt in helping out with problems.
