I love where I live after moving from Brooklyn, New York. I have a 2 bedroom, 1 bath home on the third floor. I have vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, central air/heat, washer and dryer, and dishwasher. I have almost 1000 square feet. It's almost impossible to find a place like this and then the rent price comes in. It's a great place but the rent is high for me. I am paying $1360 now but the price is going up to $1400 when my lease is up and $1500 if I want a month to month. I would only move to a different place to save money for a condo I hope to purchase soon. The apartment staff are wonderful and in the summer they stay around to 7PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They just implemented rent by computer. Paying your rent via Internet. I haven't tried it yet but will soon. Although the rent books say close to Silver Spring Metro... DON'T DO IT. It will take you an hour to get there. Go to Greenbelt Metro instead. Your commute will be 15 minutes. Totally worth it. Maintenance gets stuff done within a few days. Carpet will never clean properly even after multiple shampoos but everything else is great. Good diverse friendly neighbors. It's nice being in an area where people say hi and speak the same language (English). The office staff is very nice and always willing to help especially tell me where to go when I first moved to Maryland. Very safe complex. Stay away from Castle Blvd 2 blocks away. This block is the good side of town. Few beetle bugs in late Spring but besides that never anything else. Highly recommend.
