Looking for Somewhere Else to Live

I've been living here for almost three years...within the 3 years, management has changed about 6 times. The management of Hampton Point is ALWAYS looking for ways to get MORE money from the tenants, by any means necessary. When you first move in, they charge a non-refundable cleaning fee ($250), then they charge a trash pickup fee (which was cancelled, by Montogomery County), they then started charging for water (which was cancelled by Montgomery County, due to the rate that they were charging). Now, that I've decided not to renew my lease and live on a month-to-month basis until I find someplace else to move... they decided to increase my month-to-month fee my $50 and will be charging the whole aparment community new water rates. I asked how much will it cost to sign a six months lease' Management told me that signing a six months lease will cost me more than going month-to-month because they have to charge a special rate. WTF! She then recommended that I sign a one year lease (which will lock me into being here another year, if I break this lease then I need to pay extra fees, etc.). This place is a rip off! They don't take care of the apartments...I asked for my apartment to be painted, if I sign the new lease, she told me that they will have to inspect first, since it cost so much to paint (mind you this is only a one bedroom).
I would recommend to find another place to live...this place is just looking for ways to get more money from tenants.
