Overall, this is a good complex. The good stuff: the rent is reasonable, the office staff along with the maintenance staff are friendly, the common areas are cleaned daily during the week, the apartment community is racially, ethnically, and economically diverse, the apartment was very clean upon move-in, washer and dryer in apartment, and the complex is pet friendly. Things to watch out for: sometimes maintenance doesn?t fix things properly the first try, my dishwasher broke and it was almost a month until I got a replacement, after calling the office three times, parking can sometimes be a pain if you get home later than 6 (they sporadically enforce the parking policies and tow people who don?t have stickers but this is only done in the middle of the night), apartments in the front of the complex face a busy street so try and get an apartment in the back, office won?t take postal or UPS packages for you, 30-45 minute commute to Adams Morgan (NW DC), not a whole lot of non fast food restaurants in the area. The worst - I had to break my lease 2 months early as my wife moved to the area to work in Baltimore and we moved closer to Baltimore. Not only are they charging me for rent they are trying to recoup $500 in "bookeeping fees," even though they had a new tenant in 2 weeks after my departure. It seems like I will have to go to court to settle the matter. Overall, a good deal for the price of rent, however the company that owns the complex (ARC Developers) is nasty .
