I was a tenant from 2003-2004. It took me a long time to find something in the area that was both reasonable in price and yet not horribly sketchy. This place met those qualifications. The area is ok, there were occassionally sketchy people about and there always seemed to be one possibly mentally ill man yelling at 5am at the busstop, but I ran into the same or worse on my daily metro trip so...
The apartments are fairly nice. I had a one bedroom, which had both a dining room AND a den area, so that was a great find. The living room was pretty large too. Kitchen is lacking of storage space, although there is a little pantry/linen closet that helps. And it had a washer & dryer which was great to have.
No amenities to speak of, I never went to the pool, it was either closed or filled with children.
Maintenance was reasonably quick in fixing things, and the staff was professional. They don't take packages, FYI.
Somewhat noisy, but it is on a busy road with a firestation nearby. Area, again, is fair. I jogged without too much concern during the day.
Metro is only about 2 miles away. Parking is a pain, but there are buses that stop directly in front of the complex you can ride. Plenty of grocery stores/fast food/gas stations in the area. All in all, not too bad.
