We're in the Army and have seen our share of apartments, and this is hands down my favorite place. Sure, you hear your neighbors on occasion and you can't do your laundry in the buff, but that's a small price to pay for a quality apartment. The staff is very friendly, innovative and environmentally conscious, providing fluorescent lightbulbs to replace your incandescent ones, setting up recycling and exchange programs, etc. They are very military friendly! Concerns and maintenance are addressed quickly. No pests native to the apartment. The apartments themselves are pretty nice and spacious, with plenty of closet and kitchen space. The wood floors are gorgeous and darn near indestructible! They look a little lived in, but certainly not old or run down--very well made. I've never had reason to fear for my safety here, which is a pretty big recommendation coming from my paranoid self. All in all, I think I'd enjoy D.C. a whole lot less if I lived in another complex.
