Winexburg Manor Apartments

This Place is the Pits!!!! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 11/4/2007 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007   This is absolutely the worst place to live. Don't move here. It is ------- horrible. The AC system of the complex uses cooled water for cooling. Yes water. Who the hell in their right mind uses ------- water cooling for AC units' Who knows what contaminants are contained in the water they use for cooling' My AC unit has been serviced 5 times and it still doesn't cool properly. I had to buy a fan to stay cool. Why should I need a fan when there's an AC unit' I live in a studio uni and there is 2 AC vents in the whole unit, one by the kitchen, and one by the window. Who the ---- positions their couch by a glass window that if broken, means one may fall out the apartment' Whoever decided to install only two poorly positioned vents in an apartment is a ------- dirtbag. Upon moving in, I discovered that the idiots didn't remove wasp nests(which weren't visible on the tour). Subsequently, I had big ------- wasps living outside my window. The screen had holes in it which meant if I opened the windows, wasps would get in. These wasps were huge, probably the hugest I've ever seen (some discovery channel ----!!). I called for extermination. This took 4 long days. Many wasps died after extermination, but not all. 3 got in the apartment, but luckily the bug spray got them before they got me. Maintenance of the apartment is horrible. They take weeks to service any requests that they don't think is an "emergency." Pray to god your neighbors are competent and don't start fires. There were fires earlier in the year. Unfortunately, the fire alarms don't work and they don't do tests. Tell me why I heard sirens, looked out my window, saw smoke, saw firefighters and police, and heard no Fire Alarm' What the ----' This place is a death trap!! Some idiot started a fire and at least 2 other units were damaged due to the fire. DC and its Maryland suburbs are ------- Dangerous. Earlier in the year, 2 people got robbed in Winexburg Manor at Gunpoint. Yes. Gunpoint. The ------- have no security on hand. The robbers are still at large. After having to deal with wasps, robbers, and a fire with no fire alarm, a few months later I had to deal with more unwanted life in my apartment. MICE! ------- Mice. I keep my apartment clean. I clean my kitchen daily. I empty the trash every 2 days, and I keep no open food inside the apartment. When I cook, I throw out the waste immediately. Yet the mice came. Little critters shitting everywhere like ------- savages. I'm still waiting on the exerminator. It's been a month since my request. I trapped 1 little bastard. Unfortunately, the units have holes in them and the critters crawl through the walls from unit to unit. At least 10 people I've spoken to have had a mouse problem. I can't wait till my lease expires. I can't wait to get out of this hell hole. In case you couldn't tell from my experience, DON'T LIVE in WINEXBURG MANOR. It is overpriced and undermaintained. Do Not Come Here. Spend your money elsewhere!!!! PLEASE DON'T LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!
