What was I thinking!!!!! My experience started back in early 1997. I was fresh out of the Navy. I worked in Laurel, MD. (Yes over a 30mile commute). During the application process, I could not provide all the necessary Carriage Hill requested. I was in the Navy for God sake. I don't pay rent to live on board a navy ship or in the barracks. I was forced to call Virginia Beach for information Carriage Hill wanted. (What the heck was my deposit for''' Why was I doing all the leg work). Fed up, I ended up making a quick stop at The Groves At Piney Orchard. Told Carriage Hill was I laid off my new job so I couldn't pass their credit. (I really didn't get laid off). Within 3 hours I had a signed a contract and moved in that weekend. (And I only had an 11 mile commute). Took forever to get my deposit back. Although I was paying $800 a month for rent instead of the $560, it was well worth it.
